Pacific Beach:  Surfing, swimming, Crystal Pier, less crowded than Mission Beach

 

Mission Beach:  Surfing, swimming, volleyball nets, Belmont Park, large vacation crowds

 

La Jolla Cove:  Gorgeous views, snorkeling, advanced surfing, limited swimming, sea lions, cormorants, if you're lucky, you might spot an osprey!

 

La Jolla Shores:  Surfing, swimming, large beach crowds

 

Windandsea:  Gorgeous views, swimming, advanced surfing

 

Torrey Pines:  We haven't been yet, but hear it is another gorgeous beach.  Be prepared as sometimes there is nudity on this beach.
